Pro-Life Perspective ~ “I was hungry and you did not feed Me, I
was thirsty and you did not give Me to drink, I was naked and you
did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit
Me.” That is His clear word from divine revelation. On the day of
judgment, do you honestly think He will not add: “I was slaughtered in an abortion clinic and you did nothing to rescue Me”?

Annual ‘Volunteer Appreciation Dinner’/ 150th Anniversary
On Sunday, March 2, 2014, Fr Stirniman and the Parish Council
will host the ‘Volunteer Appreciation Dinner’ during this 150th
Anniversary year. The dinner begins at 4 pm in Harkrader Hall.
We strongly encourage anyone and everyone (and their families)
who has donated their “time and talent” to the parish this past year
of 2013 to attend. Some volunteer examples include: liturgical
ministry (lectors, ushers, EMHCs, servers, sacristans, etc), music
ministry, church cleaners and decorators, campus maintenance
(mowers, snow shovelers, gardeners, etc), ‘Family Formation’
catechists and volunteers, church committee members, teachers &
volunteers from St Louis School, CCW & KofC volunteers,
bakers & workers at funeral luncheons, Our Table, and/or fish
fries, Bible Study leaders, etc, etc, etc...too many to mention! If
we missed you on the list, know that YOU are invited! This is our
Thank You to all who keep our church vibrant.
‘Ash Wednesday’ Masses ~ The season of Lent begins on
Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Masses for Ash Wednesday will be
held at 7 am, 8:05 am (Children’s Mass), and at 5:15 pm.
Attention All Parish Group Organizers ~ In planning ahead
for the next few months, please be mindful of Lent, and in
particular of Holy Week—April 13-19th. Our activities should
reflect the tone and posture of the Church’s Liturgical Season.
No social activities should be scheduled during Holy Week.
CCW February Meeting ~ Faith in Action is the theme for our
next meeting on Tuesday, February 25th beginning at 6 pm.
Colleen Yucus will be our guest speaking, sharing how walking
in faith can lead you to unexpected places, resulting blessings
and joy beyond our wildest imagination. All ladies of the parish
are welcome! A soup supper will be served.
Haiti Medical Mission Update ~ Again we ask for your prayers
as the medical mission team for our “sister” parish, Our Lady of
Perpetual Help in LaMontagne, Haiti, leaves on February 28th
thru March 14th. Your prayers and gifts bring about a better life
for the poor. Our parish family has provided many every day,
basic items that are needed, but also have helped the school children of St Mark’s with a great Catholic religious education. This
year 14 team members are going to treat close to 4,000 patients
in a two-week time span. Our thanks and prayers go out to the
parishioners of St Louis! God bless you all! ~ Bill Phalen.
Rachel’s Vineyard Eucharistic Adoration will be held at
St Louis Parish’s Adoration Chapel ALL HOURS during the
weekend of March 14-16, 2014, beginning at 7 pm on Friday
and ending at 7 am on Sunday. Sign-up sheets are available in
the foyer of Harkrader Hall and in the entryway to the adoration
chapel. For more information call Pam Hanson at 875-3533.
