Dear Parents,
Wow! Term 2 has flown by and what amazing work the children have created. The creativity shown in the Home Learning Projects was a joy to see. The project books
produced by the children on their chosen animal were the culmination of weeks of research, drafting, editing and finally, publishing. Our aim was to have ‘beautiful and
excellent’ work to be proud of, and the children have certainly achieved that. Well done Year 4!
We’d like to say a big “Thank you,” to all of you who read and discuss books with your child every day. This is so beneficial, not only in fostering a love of reading but
also in opening up all the other curriculum areas. Please remember to record an entry in your child’s School Journal. Thank you also for helping your child with his/her
spelling and maths homework. We really do see this as a chance for your child to share and practise his/her school learning with you. Please encourage your child to
take pride in the quality of his/her handwriting and presentation in the homework. Please remember to write in the Journal to confirm that the maths homework has
been completed.
As we come back to a new term, we would be grateful if you could check that all school uniform has your child’s name clearly labelled. School uniform P.E. kit, including
daps or trainers, needs to be in school every day.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year.
