Question 1
Each student to have the following:1 . Two new dry cells
2. Cell holder
3. Bulb (2cells. Ordinary kind found in local shops)
4. Bulb Holder
5. Nichrome wire-swg 32 mounted on a mm scale of 1 metre long
6. Voltmeter (0 – 3V) or (0 – 5V)
7. Jockey
8. Milliameter(O-lA)
9. Five copper wires, four with crocodile clips on both ends
10. Glass block- Width approx. 6.4cm 1 1 . Four thumb tacks
12. Five optical pins
13. Soft board
14. Plain paper
15. Half metre rule
(After the practical, the supervisor should collect the plain papers used, before another shift)
Question 2
1 . Stand, clamp and boss
2. Thread- 3 pieces of length 20cm each.
3. Rectangular wooden block
4. Beaker -250ml
5. Metre rule
6. Paraffin - To be put into the beaker upto ¾ way full
*The rectangular block is of dimensions 4cm by 4cm by 7. 5cm and softwood. It should be painted
white and calibrated with 0. 5cm divisions as shown below. A hook or small piece of nail is attached.
