2. Day One (1) of the Mid-Year Assessment and INSET should be spent on
Assessment. This is non-negotiable. The individual teacher must have an Action
Plan as his/her output of the first day. Please follow the flow reflected in the
Activity Matrix.
3. The EnWork-GuiDeCA, especially the topics on "Self-Awareness" and
"Positive Discipline" conducted by the EPS in Values Education\ dresses
one of the top three (3) priority development needs of our teachers under the
Core Behavioral Competencies on Self Management, strand no. 2:
Undertakes personal actions and behaviors that are clear and purposive and takes
into account personal goals and values congruent to that of the organization and

5. Along with the above-mentioned topics, our School Health Personnel will have a
slot in the INSET to talk about Drug Education and Awareness of Prevalent
Diseases (i.e. dengue fever, zika virus and chikungunya virus). The time slots for
these topics shall be arranged between the PSDS and the School Health Personnel.
6. Clustering of schools during the INSET may be considered, especially for secondary
schools where there is only one or two in the distr
ict.
7. Attached is a suggested Mid-Year Assessment and INSET Activity Matrix. This may
be modified to suit the distr
