JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2015
No. 1
Our mission is to be the leading walk-in and blast chiller/shock freezer manufacturer by
providing superior products and services that exceed the expectations of our customers.
Central High School
Pictured is Thermo-Kool marketing
agent, Mike Hensley with PMR, Inc.,
Knoxville, Tennessee proudly standing
next to the Thermo-Kool walk-in freezer
which was recently installed at Central
High School, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Central High School is the alma mater of
Hensley (1973 graduate), his grandfather
(1923 graduate), his father (1950
graduate) and his son (2014 graduate).
The actual size 25’-0 ¼” x 15’-3 ¼”
x 7’6” high walk-in freezer’s unique
configuration consisted of an “L” shape
design with a three-sided column
cut out which were accomplished
by utilizing Thermo-Kool’s highdensity DURATHANE perimeter to
manufacture in 1” panel increments
so there is no wasted storage space
and every panel locks-in-place with
no cutting or pasting necessary
during the installation. To ensure
“hidden costs” were avoided during
the installation the walk-in freezer
was preassembled at the ThermoKool factory prior to shipment for a
thorough quality control inspection.
The exterior and interior finishes of
the walk-in are Stucco Galvanized with
a smooth aluminum floor. The walk-in
consisted of a 34” x 76” door, pressure
relief vent and fluorescent lights for
additional illumination.
Central High School is part of the
Knox County School District whose
website notes the districts’ goal as
Excellence for Every Child. The website
also states, At the Knox County Schools,
we strive to provide those educational
experiences that develop the skills,
knowledge and attitudes students
will need to be successful members of
both our local and the larger global
communities. We recognize that the
world is a changing and dynamic
place, and our approach to providing
education must constantly be reviewed
and adapted to ensure we are providing
our students the skills they will require
to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
