Setting Restrictions on iPads for Students
When to set Restrictions? After initial set up/configuration, update iOS to 6.0.1.
1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Messages.
If you are signed in with your Apple ID for iMessages, turn iMessage OFF.
If you are not signed in for iMessages, go to the next step.
3. Go to General > Restrictions.

4. Enable Restrictions. Set a Restrictions passcode. Re-enter the passcode.
Recommendation: Use a 4-digit number that is not easily figured out.
5. Allow: Turn OFF FaceTime and iTunes. For iPad 3 and 4 only, turn off
Explicit Language for Siri. [Siri is not available on iPad 2.]
6. Allowed Content: Change Require Password to Immediately.

NOTE: Sometimes this screen has a glitch and the headings of the sections
are on the bottom of the previous section. Leave the screen to reset [for
example, go to Sounds] and then go back to General > Restrictions.
