Progress from 50 sit ups a day the first week, to 300 sit ups a day by the final week. Everyone must have an Abmat to participate. You may order your Abmat at the Inferno Hot Pilates for $30. Due to the level of interest, just ordered a second shipment and expect delivery by April 30th. Anyone can join – both members and non-members. Feel free to recruit family members, friends etc. Everyone must perform the required number of sit ups according to the schedule. We are on the honor system. We will provide calendars for people to check the box each day. We encourage everyone to keep a photo diary of your progress and to post them on Instagram. Use the following hashtags to submit your photo #abmatchallenge #hotpilates #lululemon @infernohotpilates @hotpilatesgirl 5. You may post them as many or however you want. Every day or once week or however you choose. We encourage you to take your Abmat everywhere to show your dedication. Bring you Abmat to Paris, Cancun, or Hawaii. Just make sure you take a picture so we can see you there with your Abmat (make sure the logo on the front of the Abmat is showing). To be eligible for prizes, you must have an Instagram account. The pic with the most “likes” will win prizes from our partners below. Prizes will be rewarded to each individual, not for each Instagram pic. Frequently Asked Questions 1) When do I do the sit ups? The time of day is up to you. You can do them when you first wake up, while at work, or before bed. Our suggestion is that you make the time consistent every day. Tell yourself, “I will dedicate the first 15 minutes of the day to this challenge.” And once you wake up, you get them all done. 2) Can I break up the sit ups throughout the day? Yes, but you must do 50 sit ups at a time with no break. For example, if we are in week six (300/DAY), you can do 50 sit ups six times in a day. 3) Do the sit ups in Hot Pilates count? No. Sit ups outside Hot Pilates do not count. You may do them after class. In fact, since we have 30 minutes in between classes, you have plenty of time to get them done. 4) Do Crunches count? Crunches will only count at a ratio of 5-1. That is, you must do 5 crunches for every one sit up. For example, you may substitute 250 crunches for 50 sit ups per day during week one. 5) Can we skip a day or have a rest day? There are no rest days. Plan you schedule ahead of time. If you need to break up the 50 sit ups throughout the day them plan for it. Once you do your first 50 sit ups in the morning, do a set or two midday, then again before bed. Find out how long it takes you to do 50 sit ups and plan for it. It may take only 5 minutes to do 50 sit ups, or it may take 8-10 minutes. Know what the commitment is, and PLAN FOR IT! 6) Do we have to post on Instagram? To be eligible for the prizes, you must post your picture via Instagram. Instagram is a very easy app to use. Download it and get signed up. It’s free. When you post photos, please use the hashtags: #abmatchallenge #hotpilates #lululemon @infernohotpilates @hotpilatesgirl. Hash tagging allows us to keep track of everyone’s post and tally up the number of likes. 7) How do I know if I’m doing it right? Gabi will demonstrate in class. Also, she will post a quick video on Instagram at her handle @hotpilatesgirl. 8) How do I get many likes? A great Instagram pic is a combination of many things. It is inspirational, motivating, beautiful, funny, clever, and connects with people. Think outside the box. If you are traveling – bring it with you. Take a picture of it on the plane sitting next to you. Do your sit ups next to the Eiffel tower. So your sit ups where you least expect it. Motivate everyone. Inspire everyone. Make us laugh!
