Museum Adventure Pass
Use your Plano library card to get

Reach Out and Read ® Book Drive
Reach Out and Read® gives young children a foundation
for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and
encouraging families to read aloud
together. When a trusted doctor or nurse
offers guidance about reading aloud and
provides a book to read, parents have an opportunity to
give their children the best start in life. Donations of “like
new” books for children 0-5 can be dropped off at the
library. Books will be given to Reach Out and Read®
participant Dr. Sylvia Trevino for her Healthy Beginnings
Pediatrics practice.

For children ages 0-5, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the
Kids’ Library during the program. Registration required.
Squish and smush your way to the benefits of messy play
with us! This is a child-directed program. Enjoy as many of
the activities as they’d like and stay for as little as 10 minutes
or the full 45 minutes. Limit: 30.

For independent 3-6 year olds, without an adult.
Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids’

Join us for a story and then explore yoga
practice through songs, games, and creative movement.
Yoga will be led by Cheyanne Diaz of Ultimate Dance on the
Move. Yoga mats will be provided. Limit: 20.

Make Your Own Keychain

Learn to make square knots for basic macramé
and create your own keychain. Limit: 8.
Pizza & Pages
We’ll all read the same book before the meeting, talk about
it, and have some pizza! Meets from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Join us as we figure out how to build tall, strong towers.
We’ll use a variety of materials, including marshmallows

Balloon Mania

Learn some basic balloon twisting skills and play some
balloon games. Limit: 16.

Come sit with a certified therapy dog and practice reading
aloud. Bring a book along or choose one of ours. When
you sign up you’ll register for a 15-minute time slot.
Decorate & Design

Use markers to decorate a craft project. Choices will
include flower pots, small decorative wooden birdhouses,
cars, wind chimes, or lizards. Limit: 32.
Music & Movement

Tuesday, July 25, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
For children ages 0-5 only, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait
in the Kids’ Library during the program. Registration required.
Join us for some of our favorite music and movement
activities. Kids will get to use simple musical instruments,
play with a parachute, and more. Be prepared to move and
groove! Limit: 30.
Rhyme Time & Storytimes
Registration required. Call 630-552-2025 or stop by the
Kids’ Library Desk to register.
Rhyme Time
For babies to age 3 accompanied by an adult. This lap sit storytime
features action rhymes, finger plays, songs, movement activities,
a simple story, and parent-child reading time. Active adult
participation is an integral part of this program.

the program with their child. Features simple stories, rhymes,
movement activities, songs, and art experiences.

Book Sale will be held in the meeting room
during regular library hours. On August 27th
all items will be sold for $4.00 a bag and VHS
tapes and audiocassettes will be given away.
The sale will end at 2:00 p.m. on August 26.
