Netherlands Forensic Institute
The Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) provides a large variety of forensic services to clients within the
criminal jus-tice chain, such as the Public Prosecution Service and the police. It uses the newest
technologies and scientific in-sights. In this talk, we give an overview of the daily work and forensic
research that takes place at the NFI's Digital Technology group. This work focuses on securing evidence
from a crime scene, making digital data stored in secured evidence available to examiners and doing
detailed analysis of this data. The NFI develops tools and technology to support all three stages.
