Next Middle School Dance, Thursday, Nov 17
 Ligia to purchase additional soft drinks
 Angie or Suzanne to order pizza
 Suzanne to e-mail Angie to order more glow sticks for January 2017 dance
 Chaperones needed
To enable Treasurer spending authority, Suzanne, Melissa and Krista to transfer signing authority on the
account and the bank card
Movie night, 6pm, Thursday, December 8. For grades K-5 with everyone welcome.
 Will sell popcorn $1.00, juice $0.50 and water $1.00.
 Movie will be Arthur Christmas.

Ligia motioned to contact volunteers to make bake goods to sell during parent teacher sessions. (November
24 & 25). Seconded by Melissa.
Proposed Sock Hop for January 2017. Steven to ask Pat of possibility to hold sock hop between 12:40 and
1:40pm, during school day. Theme to be Top 10 countdown/New Year
Melissa proposed the idea to sell Candy-grams. Could sell them on Movie nite, Dec 8 + Monday –
Wednesday, December 19, 20, 21. Delivery date would be Thursday, Dec 22. Steven to contact John Irvin to
be Santa Clause to deliver them to the students. Motion by Mellissa, seconded by Jane.

Jane volunteered to contact Coastal Graphics to place another clothing order. Order form will be updated
and given to Pat to e-mail with newsletter, and/or, e-mail to teachers to email to student’s families. The goal
is to: have samples of clothing for all to see/touch; replace poo r selling items with new product, and, place
order by Nov 30 for Christmas arrival.
It was suggested that Home & School could consider purchasing:
 a Buddy Bench for the playground that does not have one
 bleachers for soccer field
 spin bikes for classrooms – Melissa to contact Jane Bridgeo to discuss + bring figures to next meeting
 fidget toys for classrooms – Jane Jones to source and bring figures to next meeting + find teacher to
pilot
 a book borrowing area for entrance of school
January 2017 - get word out for teacher appreciation week to reach out to our members who wish to
volunteer, but can’t make the meetings.
For September 2017 Home & School Meeting – plan for a Santa Shop event.

Roundtable
There are approximately 600 students at Townsview School
Book Sale, November 16, 17 & 18
Other Ideas of events to plan with students:
 Skating with Santa
Steven offered the use of this room for most nights Home and School requires it, ie, to assemble candy
grams, etc.
Robin Doussault is the contact to put the H&S minutes up on the school website
