Magnesium Calcium Magnesium is essential for the human organism. It takes part in many metabolic processes. Magnesium salts positively influence coronary diseases, blood pressure or muscular pain. Calcium is very important for the living organism. It influences the neurotransmission, it is involved in the function of muscles, nerves and in cell division as well as in activating certain enzymes and hormones. Sodium Potassium Sodium regulates the water content of living bodies, the acid-base-balance and ensures the excitability of muscles and nerves and activates certain enzymes. Potassium is an essential mineral. It belongs to the most important electrolytes in body fluids and is jointly responsible for the control of muscles. In food industry potassium is used as acidity regulator and is listed as food additive E 525 in the European Union. Being documentary mentioned for the first time in 956, the saline produced table salts until the end of 1980. The beginning: Magnesia GmbH was founded as successor of the Saline Lüneburg. The medium-sized company, being based in Lüneburg, focused on business in Magnesium, Calcium and further mineral based compounds. Continuously, the product portfolio has been enlarged. Until today: In recent years, Magnesia evolved into an innovative and successful globally established distribution company.
