What does the CACHE endorsement mean? CACHE have identified that the delivery of this training resource file is beneficial professional development that deserves recognition on completion and have therefore agreed that an endorsed certificate should be awarded. The recognition of having received a CACHE endorsed certificate is a great asset for professional development records and also to raise the profile of your setting. Assessment Throughout the duration of the delivery of the training within the file, the candidates should maintain a reflective journal of their learning in relation to the programme and their findings in the classroom. The content of the resource file is closely linked to practical work in the setting. Therefore, the reflective journal should look at the relationship between their learning in the training sessions and the reality in their practice. Candidates should be encouraged to consider the impact of their role and their continuous learning, including stating where ideas haven’t worked and considering further ideas for development. Discussions with other professionals, further reading or research and findings from discussions with the children can be used in the journal. Every reflective journal must include elements of learning relating to each module within the resource file. The journals should be submitted to The Teaching Assistant College in a word document or pdf format although paper, handwritten journals are also permitted, though the charge for return postage will need to be made by the setting or candidate. How do we claim CACHE certificates? Candidates should be registered with The Teaching Assistant College at least three weeks prior to completion and submission of the reflective journal. They can therefore be registered at any point between purchasing the file and three weeks before the end of their completion of the programme. CACHE monitors and endorses the overall quality of the programme, and as such, will request to moderate a selection of reflective journals. Celebrating Success On completion of the course, all participants on CACHE Endorsed Learning Programmes receive a certificate from CACHE, recognising and celebrating their learning and achievement and continuing professional development. What does it cost? Registration fee per candidate £35.00 Certificate fee per candidate £25.00 Registration can be made three weeks or more before Certification.
