Red Ribbon Week starts today.
High School Cross-Country: The high school boys’ cross-country team took first place at the District meet,
advancing to next week’s Regional meet. Tyler McKee led the rockets to their second consecutive District
Championship, finishing sixth overall. Lucas Huber was 7th, Brad Axe 10th, Joel Gaier 13th, Luke Gaier 16th,
Korash Assani 21st, and Jonathan Berning 27th. The high school girls’ cross-country team advanced to compete in
the Regionals by placing 4th at the District meet. Jennifer Robinson was 7th, Jenna Harbarger 20th, Jennifer Larger
30th, Nicole Smith 32nd, Gracen Rogers 36th, Bonnie Alstaetter 38th, and Ashley Littefield 45th.
The first locker inspection will be coming up soon. Clean out and organize your lockers this week in order to pass
locker inspection.

to attend.
7th grade cheer practice will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week from 3:30 - 5. Meet in the
courtyard.

Just a reminder: The first Skating Party will be tonight at Rolling Hills Skating Rink in Sidney from 6-8. Admission
is $4 and Skate Rental is $2.
Help the St. Jude Hospital and brush up on your math skills!!! Bring in your permission slip to participate in the
math-a-thon. Fifth grade please hand your permission slips in by Wednesday.
All other grades will need to hand in your permission slips in by Friday.
The final tally is in for the box top collection. We collected $1,893 in box tops. We collected 7, 985 points in Labels
for Education. We collected enough Sunny D labels to get 620 books. You did a great job!!! Keep collecting.
If you have any more Sunny D labels, send them down and your class will get credit for the next competition.

details. The seminar will take place at Urbana University from June 18th-21st.
There will be a brief junior class officer meeting this Friday at 7:45 in Mrs Bey's room. Please see Mrs Bey if you
cannot attend.

The custodians would like to remind students to remove all books and personal items from the floor after school.
Leaving items on the floor makes it difficult to clean. It is also possible that items left out will end up by mistake in
the trash.
Tickets for Friday's football game against Minster are for sale in the office.

locker for locker inspection.
Today all high school students should have received a pair of sunglasses to celebrat Red Ribbon Week. The
sunglasses are to remind you to "SHADE OUT DRUGS" and "SHADE OUT BAD DECISIONS".
Congratulations to the following members of the varsity soccer team who were selected to the Western Ohio
Soccer League All-Conference Team: Hunter Knouff, first team; Raquel Bollheimer & Holly Boyd, second team;
Courtney Hollenbacher & Alexis Phillips, honorable mention.
Anyone interested in joining the High School Science Olympiad team, please see Mrs. Brown in room 111 by

Pumpkin Contest: The Anna Elementary Student Council is sponsoring a decorated pumpkin contest. Pumpkins
have been decorated by student council members and will be on display in the cafeteria. Students may vote for
their favorite pumpkin October 27th to October 30th. Each vote costs .25 cents. (Student Council Member will
read this)
Facts of the Day: The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,061lbs.
