Red Ribbon Week starts today. High School Cross-Country: The high school boys’ cross-country team took first place at the District meet, advancing to next week’s Regional meet. Tyler McKee led the rockets to their second consecutive District Championship, finishing sixth overall. Lucas Huber was 7th, Brad Axe 10th, Joel Gaier 13th, Luke Gaier 16th, Korash Assani 21st, and Jonathan Berning 27th. The high school girls’ cross-country team advanced to compete in the Regionals by placing 4th at the District meet. Jennifer Robinson was 7th, Jenna Harbarger 20th, Jennifer Larger 30th, Nicole Smith 32nd, Gracen Rogers 36th, Bonnie Alstaetter 38th, and Ashley Littefield 45th. Pumpkin Contest: The Anna Elementary Student Council is sponsoring a decorated pumpkin contest. Pumpkins have been decorated by student council members and will be on display in the cafeteria. Students may vote for their favorite pumpkin October 27th to October 30th. Each vote costs .25 cents. (Student Council Member will read this) Facts of the Day: The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,061lbs.
