Have you heard of Pickleball? It's tennis with wooden paddles, pingpong on a court,

Should you need to change your schedule or withdraw, please contact us. No refunds will be provided
after the first date of each session except for medical reasons or if a class should be canceled by the
Aquatics Director. If you decide to withdraw from a class prior to the start date a $5 processing fee will apply.

Perfect for our younger Zumba® fans! Kids 7-11 years old get the chance to be active and
jam out to their favorite music. Zumba® Kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based
on original Zumba® choreography. We break down the steps, add games, activities and
cultural exploration elements into the class structure. Helps develop a healthy lifestyle
and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by making fitness fun. Classes

Gain the skills and confidence you need to be a great babysitter! In this 6-hour

Join Paul Gasser as he presents how to use Love and Logic to enhance children’s
self control, emotional regulation, motivation and work ethic, and how to keep
parenting fun!
Paul is a Marriage and Family Therapist at St. Joseph’s in Hillsboro, Wisconsin
and an instructor for the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. His experience with
children and their families comes as a result of working for over thirty years as a
therapist and educator in the United States, North Vietnam and Russia. He currently
teaches a variety of courses for the Love and Logic Institute and the University of
Wisconsin – Platteville Continuing Education Department on the topic of child
behavioral issues. You may register through the SP community center website, or

THE WOMEN IN FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S LIFE
If you have tried to understand the various women in FLW's life but your eyes
glaze over after number three, this is an entertaining and enlightening class for
you. Teacher Kay Price will carefully explain the women who played important
roles in FLW's life. Price has many stories to share with her class, starting with her
traumatic meeting with FLW at age 6. She is currently writing a series of eBooks and
paperbacks on her experiences involving this architectural genius.

If you want to see your byline in print, now is the time to get started on your writing
goals. Learn how to write articles, short stories and novels from an author who has
succeeded in doing it all. Bring in your writing samples and learn how to achieve

Essential Oils 101
If you are interested in “introductory" information about essential oils, then
Essential Oils 101 is perfect for you. This class will be your chance to get all the
info about essential oils you ever wanted but didn’t know who to ask. Instructor Lory
Seffrood will use resources and 10 years of aromatherapy education to answer your
questions about oils. For example, is it more effective to eat essential oils or simply
sniff them? There are lots of different kinds of lavender, which ones do what? How do
you know what essential oil to use and when? How can you make effective tinctures?
What do you diffuse? What is an adaptogen? How do you choose a trustworthy oil
supplier? Seffrood will share some brilliant, historic oil blend recipes that never go
out of style and information on what oils are on the "never use" list. Learn about
oils that can raise test scores, improve focus, memory and reduce fall risk. As a
class, you will create an infusion. Seffrood will share favorite recipes for essential oil
blends you can make at home. Bring a notebook and a pencil. This information could
change everything you knew about essential oils.

This is the perfect class for anyone who would like to learn practical, affordable,
everyday uses for essential oils. Instructor Lory Seffrood will review popular
products and help you discover how to easily replace those products with great,

favorite recipes and trusted essential oil suppliers. This class will offer hands-on
work with essential oils. Takeaways will include simple recipes to use at home,

to use to make gentle body scrubs that never dry or sting. Discover why soaking is
so good for you, and what foods to use for a soak that will detox your system and

more than you care to admit? We have the answer! Get ready for fall by coming to this Wildtree
Simple Healthy Workshop and prepping six dinners to take home, freeze and cook on busy
nights to come! This is a fun, affordable way to make mealtime easy, healthy and delicious.
These are great crockpot meals and each feeds 4-6 adults, PLUS you’ll take home the leftover
Wildtree products along with additional recipes to make MORE meals! You’ll save time and
money by having meals prepped and ready to throw in the crockpot. The menu includes: Crock

HEALTH TRIP 2017 - Winning with Wellness
What is Health Trip?
Health Trip is a 16-week exercise program organized on a team model giving
participants a built-in motivational boost.
New this year:
2017 Health Trip participants will have the option to work out as an individual or as a
team of four to reach goals in multiple areas. Wellness isn't just about exercise!
Get motivated to reach goals in relaxation, nutrition, weight management, fitness
and more! Watch for details in our November flyer.

This class is designed for students with little or no previous knowledge of Spanish. This is an

Spanish 2 is ideal for those who have had some Spanish before and are seeking to refresh what they

Building a Positive Productive Board
Learn how to activate a board of directors and the importance of strategic business planning, to
design an effective agenda, to write concise minutes, and techniques to move the meeting along.
Other best practices in board management will be discussed. Legal responsibilities; long range
and strategic planning role; fiscal and fund raising responsibilities; insurance and liability; training
and orientation; committees; communication; officers’ roles; agency assessment, evaluation and
stewardship role.

Should you need to change your schedule or withdraw, please contact us. No refunds will be provided after the first date of each session
except for medical reasons or if a class should be canceled by the Aquatics Director. If you decide to withdraw from a class prior to the
start date a $5 processing fee will apply.

The pool is available for rental any time there are no scheduled programs. It’s great for birthday parties, family gatherings, other special events, or just because!

SAUK PRAIRIE AQUATIC CLUB 2017 LONG COURSE
The Sauk Prairie Aquatic Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of
ALL ages able to swim two lengths of the pool with no aid or stopping. It is the goal
of the Sauk Prairie Aquatic Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes
geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the
best of their abilities.
Registration opens in February for our long course season with practices starting
in May. Practices will start at our Indoor Pool and be moving to the Outdoor Pool
as the weather warms up and school comes to an end. Our practice times are early
mornings Monday - Friday with meets on the weekends.

Long COURSE AGES GROUPS
Marlins: Ages 8 – 9
MARLINS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM A 2,000 YARD WORKOUT. Marlins will focus

Winter youth Swim Lessons
Sauk Prairie Aquatics has something for all ages and all abilities. Our swim lessons
start at the age of 6 months and continue through adulthood. All instructors are
certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Registration is done online
through ActiveNet or in person at the Community Education center at 730 Monroe
Street in Sauk City.
Classes will be combined or cancelled after the registration deadline if less than our
minimum of four students have been enrolled. Our office will notify families of any
changes in class offerings or openings for those on waitlists by email. Please be
sure your family details are updated in ActiveNet to be sure you receive updates.

This plan has been prepared to guide the Villages of Sauk City and Prairie du Sac in acquiring
and developing public outdoor parks and recreation facilities. It also serves as a tool to
participate in outdoor recreation grant programs through the Department of Natural Resources
and to suggest regional connections such as through trails to major public open spaces in the
area. This plan is intended as a companion to the Sauk Prairie Comprehensive Plan and was
prepared in concert with a similar effort for the Sauk Prairie School District.
This Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) sets forth Sauk Prairie’s vision for
the future growth and development of its outdoor recreation parks and facilities. The plan is
intended to guide the area’s outdoor recreation facility development through the year 2020.

Due to this being a recreational league, 4th graders who are currently
playing in SP Youth Basketball should not participate in this program.

LEVEL 1 (BEGINNER): Little or no experience. Working on fundamental skills
including: handstand, cartwheel, roundoff, backbend, pullover with or without spot,

LEVEL 2 (INTERMEDIATE): Can master Level 1 skills. Working towards these
advanced skills including; backbend kick over, back handspring with spot, pullover
on own, back hip circle, squat on bars, tumbling skills on low or medium beam,
vault over table trainer to handstand flat back, and more.
LEVEL 3 (ADVANCED): Can master Level 2 skills. Working toward combinations of
advanced skills including: roundoff back handspring, front tuck, back tuck, aerials,
kip on low and high bar, vault over table, tumbling skills on high beam, front tuck or
aerial beam dismount, and more.
LEVEL 4 (INVITE ONLY): For individuals mastering Level 3 skills, working on
tumbling combinations on the floor and beam, working kips and fly-aways on bars.

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At
night monsters come out, so you have to make sure to build a shelter before that
happens! Kids will start by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and
tools using LEGO bricks. Students will face fun challenges, building models and
crafting key elements from the popular game. Experience the world of Minecraft with

Family Scavenger Hunt
Join in the fun for the 4th annual Family Scavenger Hunt!
This is a FREE program and we encourage you to get out and explore Sauk Prairie with
your family! Pre-registration is required.
Here’s how it works: On Wednesday, March 22nd, we will email all registered
participants the list of 50 things to hunt for! You will have 2 weeks to collect as many
items from the list as you can, and put them all into a shoebox. Be creative, items on
the list can be bought, created, or found unless the item is marked “picture”, “photo” or
“drawing”. The items in the shoebox will not be returned, so please do not put anything
valuable in it. The shoeboxes are due back between Wednesday, April 5th at 8 am and
Friday, April 7th by 4pm.
SCORING: The 3 families who collect the most items AND are the most creative win a
prize. Winners will be notified by Friday, April 14th. The date and time entries are received
will be a determining factor if there is a tie.

These wheels are ready to roll! Students will use LEGO® Bricks, axles, pulleys, gears, motors
and more to build a variety of models on wheels. Some are familiar vehicles, such as a fire

give students more to learn. Do you have a need for speed? Put your Speed Bot model to the
test as you race against others using remote controls! We’ll explore concepts of speed and
force, and gain non-vehicle knowledge from the unconventional
Wheels in Motion models as well. Let’s roll!

Spring Sports Programs
Medal Volleyball League
Girls in 6th – 8th grade are eligible to participate in a traveling volleyball league.
This is a recreation based league that will teach and reward the participants for using
proper technique and volleyball fundamentals. Practices tentatively will start week
of February 13th at the MS or CC gyms. Practices will be adjusted to accommodate
our volleyball coach’s schedules. Parents in each grade level will need to commit to
helping coach and volunteer for practices.
5th grade plays 4 weekends, 6th – 8th plays 5 weekends.

Summer School 2017
Sauk Prairie School District is committed to providing a quality, affordable summer program
that offers academic and enriching classes for our all our students. Our Summer School
program provides students the opportunity to participate in academic, sport, art and music
classes. This continuation of learning through the summer months provides a link to
maintaining academic achievement and opportunity to socialize with peers. Our program
provides a nutritious breakfast and/or lunch and bus service (if requested). Our full morning
classes are Monday through Friday. We offer two sessions to choose from:
Semester 1 Dates: June 26 - July 20, 2017
(No Classes: Tuesday, July 4 or Friday, July 21)
Term 3 Dates: July 24 - August 4, 2017

Registration for Summer School classes is an online process using the
Arena Schedule tab in Skyward Family Access for all summer classes.
Registration is required to participate in any classes for Sauk Prairie School District’s
Summer School program. This includes swim lessons, youth basketball, volleyball,
Performance Programs for all ages, any music, band or voice lessons, and morning
enhancement classes for students grades K4-12.
Online Arena Scheduling Dates: Opens Thursday, April 6, at 6:00 pm and closes
on Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 pm. NO registrations will be taken or accepted after this date

Equipment Rental
Tables and chairs are available for use at the Community Center only.
Renters are responsible for set-up and take-down of all tables and chairs.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of $250 is required for all rentals, including nonprofit
groups. A separate check for rental and deposit is required prior to date of
rental. A fee of $25/hour is assessed and withheld from the security deposit
for any extra custodial time needed to clean up after a rental.
Renters are responsible for cleanup after their rental.**All events must be over by 11:30 pm

Park improvements in Summer 2016
Village of Sauk City at Meyer Oak Park
• ●Added sidewalk along Carolina Street
• ●Added diagonal parking along Carolina Street
• ●Removed the grass mound and filled in low areas on the west end of the park
• ●Removed the old windmill on the east end
• ●Removed the plantings around the small shelter and seeded it down
Village of Prairie du Sac
• ●Established a detailed working maintenance plan for village parks.
• ●Hired a full-time employee dedicated to park maintenance.
• ●Installed new trees at Westwynde and Elsing Parks
• ●Installed new basketball backboards and restriped the
basketball court at Elsing Park.
• ●Looking ahead, the Village is in the planning stages for improvements at
Westwynde Park and new play equipment at Blanchard Park.
