We can provide you with a flyer of our needed items. When the box is full we can, if needed, have a volunteer pick up the items. This is a great way you can help us stock our shelves. Our client in-take ends 15 minutes before our pantry’s closing hour. EXTREME WEATHER Information: We are closed ONLY when Chippewa Valley Schools are closed. DHS Bridge Cards: What You Need to Know 2017 Pantry Closings Pantry News Each household will be required to register with the DHS for Bridge Cards, (586) 469-7700. You must bring in a current copy of your determination letter from the DHS. Receiving food is not dependant upon your qualifying for a card. Visiting the Pantry: We are a walk-in pantry and do not schedule appointments. One visit per calendar month, you choose the day. If you need to send a family member to pick up your food make sure they are listed as living in your household. They must bring in their ID to pick up food. If you need to send someone not listed in your household to pick up your food call us at (586) 228-1094, let us who will be coming and have them bring in your ID. Pantry Abuse: Households visiting more than ONE pantry per month will not be served in that month. NO exceptions. Identification Requirements: Proper ID is required for all household members to receive food allotment. NO exceptions. Each person picking up food MUST show a valid current driver’s license or state ID. Social Security cards are not acceptable ID. Contact the Ray of Hope Center (586) 329-4046 if you need to obtain IDs. Each person in your household over 18 years of age MUST have a valid current driver’s license or state ID AND a piece of U.S. mail with their name and current address on it. Handwritten mail will not be accepted.
