"he was a popular and gregarious man" synonyms: sociable, social, company-loving, companionable, convivial, clubbable Numeracy Puzzle of the Week – Misplacement In the magic square below the lines of the four figures should add up to 34, whether that be in a row, column or diagonal format. By mistake two numbers have been misplaced. Can you find out which two numbers are not in their correct positions? Open to all staff and students. Paper entries, with the answer and your name, in the box opposite the Maths Office before Thursday 05/03/15. The winner of last week’s Missing Number puzzle was Mr Wortelhock. Please go to the Maths Office to collect your prize. Mrs Davies Week 21 Numeracy Puzzle, Missing Number solution: So the rule in each circle is to multiply the two top numbers together and subtract ten, so 6 x 8 - 10 = 38 and 7 x 7 - 10 = 39. Therefore the missing number is 10 x 4 - 10 = 30. Mr Smart Student Bank The Student Bank hours have been extended. Opening hours are now 8.15 – 8.50, 11:15 – 11.40 and 13:40 – 14:10. Miss Jensen Attendance and lates Your tutor will be checking that any absence has been explained by a note, signed by your parent or guardian. Please make sure that you do not have any N codes for unexplained absences. This will be added to your progress review and attendance does affect your learning. Make sure that you catch up with missed work. Punctuality is essential too. We are now able to keep a log of the number of minutes that you miss due to late arrival at tutor and lesson times. Good time keeping reflects your organisation and attitude. Please be on time!
