ANIMAL HEALTH
All Exhibitors are required to complete the National Cattle Health Declaration (Version 24/10/16).
Questions 3a, 3b, 6, 7, 8, and/or 9 must be completed by the Exhibitor. The National Cattle Health Declaration must be signed by the owner or the person
responsible for the cattle.
In addition Exhibitors must provide certification that animals entered for competition in the Beef Cattle classes, including calves at foot, have been tested for
Pestivirus and certified as non PI (Persistently Infected). Certification must be provided in the form of a laboratory report or signed veterinary certificate, listing
animals and their identification. Animals previously tested and certified as non PI are not required to be retested, however certification must be provided.
The National Cattle Health Declaration (Version 24/10/16) and non PI certification must be submitted by 5pm Wednesday 8 February 2017.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
SUBSTITUTES
Nomination of substitutes is not required at this time (time of entry). At the conclusion of processing of entries, the RAS will forward to Exhibitors the Cattle
Confirmation of Entries Form. The form will contain the processed Exhibitor and Exhibit information appearing in this Application for Entry. Exhibitors will be
required to record Withdrawals and Substitutions on the Cattle Confirmation of Entries form and return it to the RAS Cattle Section by no later than 5pm Wednesday
8 March 2017. Juvenile for juvenile, junior for junior, or senior for senior Substitutes will be accepted into a Class.
REGISTRATION VERIFICATION
All processed entries will be forwarded to the relevant breed society for verification. Registration certificates are required at the inspection of beef cattle. Exhibitors
are NOT to post or send registration certificates or copies thereof to the RAS, unless expressly requested to do so.
UNETHICAL CONDUCT AND PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES
Unethical conduct and prohibited substances are governed by the RAS General Regulations. Breach of the General Regulations may result in immediate expulsion
from the Showground and/or disciplinary action. The RAS General Regulations can be found at www.rasnsw.com.au
STALLING REQUESTS
The RAS will allocate stalling for Exhibits. Stalling of Cattle is done in accordance with Health status and regulations.

GROOMING FRAME
There allocated areas for grooming frames with access to power. Grooming frames will be permitted in these areas only. A $100 fine applies to Exhibitors
responsible for Grooming frames situated outside authorised areas. Restrictions will be placed on the allocation of grooming frames dependant on the number of
cattle Exhibits per Exhibitor.
PARKING
Exhibitors, please complete the Hill Road (P5-C) Parking Form to book parking and submit, with payment, to the CATTLE Section, Royal Agricultural Society of
NSW, Locked Bag 4317, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127.
ACCOMMODATION
Due to the limited accommodation available for Exhibitors onsite including lofts (above tackrooms/lockers) and site sheds, we urge our Exhibitors to consider their
accommodation requirements for 2017 and plan accordingly.
A number of hotels, motels and similar establishments in commuting distance to the grounds are available on our website.
The RAS arranges for a limited number of accommodation site sheds, supplementary to lofts allocated within the Cattle Section, to accommodate Cattle Exhibitors.
These site sheds are provided on a ‘user pays’ basis. To apply, fill in the Application for Accommodation and return to the Cattle Section by Wednesday 8
February 2017.
Do not send payment with this application. Fees are payable only upon RAS’ notification to the Exhibitor of accommodation site shed allocation.
All Exhibitors accredited to stay on the Showground overnight, in an approved space, must wear an RAS certified wristband at all times.
To ensure the health and safety of Exhibitors, the rules of your accommodation on the Showground will be strictly enforced.
Breach of any accommodation and fire regulation rules may result in Disciplinary Action under the General Regulations. Penalties include removal of
Awards, fines, eviction from the Showground and disqualification from future Shows.
