A C e l e b r at i o n It is not the honor that you take with you, of Service but the heritage you leave behind. Created by the Rotary Club of Denver, the Branch Rickey Award® is a nationally prestigious and coveted honor that recognizes professionals in Major League Baseball for exceptional community service. Rotarians believe that community service is everyone’s responsibility. We celebrate the many humanitarians in baseball who, through their countless acts of unselfish involvement, personify Rotary International’s motto, “Service Above Self.” We are dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through programs that contribute to education and create opportunities for success in life. We believe that kids benefit greatly from exposure to positive role models. All of the Branch Rickey Award nominees are winners in their communities. We hope that these humanitarians will inspire young people to recognize the possibilities within themselves. Proceeds from the event and auctions benefit the many programs of the Denver Rotary Club Foundation, including Denver Kids, Inc. Founded in 1946 by The Rotary Club of Denver and Denver Public Schools, Denver Kids is a preventive counseling and mentoring program for more than 1,300 students, grades K–12, who face higher risk environments. www.DenverKidsInc.org Through events such as the Branch Rickey Award, Denver Kids will be able to continue providing the time, attention and caring that has repeatedly made the difference in the lives of the increasing number of students they serve. The Mission of the Denver Rotary Club Foundation is to participate actively in the diverse life of our community, locally, nationally and internationally, through the grants it makes each year. The Foundation grants emphasize our belief in the promise and value of youth and education, affirming our commitment to the humanitarian goals of Rotary. 2014 Sponsor Donation Levels Grand Slam Sponsor $10,000 • Front and center seating table for 10 • 10 tickets to the Xtra Innings Party • 10 valet parking passes on banquet night • Prominent listing on the Branch Rickey Award website • Prominent recognition on marketing materials • Prominent listing in the banquet program and staging • 10 autographed baseballs from the 2014 winner • Table host and children/grandchildren invited to press conference with winner • Acknowledgment from the podium by the emcee Home Run Sponsor $7,500 Clayton Kershaw meets with members of Denver Kids during the Saturday afternoon press conference.
