TPS Logo Design Competition 1. About The Company 1.1. TPS Corporate Services Pte. Ltd. (hereby referred to as “TPS”) was established since 1982 and currently has its own logo and tagline. As we celebrate our 35th anniversary in 2017, we would like to build upon the opportunity to grow by gaining your insights. A logo represents the company and the values it stands for. Hence it comes in no better way than to celebrate our milestone by having a new logo that you think reflects us best. 1.2. Participants are encouraged to design freely with their personal interpretation of what TPS does, and allow the design to depict what they think, infer, or feel about TPS. 1.3. Participants who want to find out more about TPS can visit the relevant website: www.tps.com.sg 1.4. By participating in this contest, participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to abide by all the Terms and Conditions of Participation set out. 1.5. Submission Period will open on 3rd October 2016 (Monday) at 06:00hrs and ends on 19 February 2017 (Sunday) at 23:59hrs. 2. Prizes 2.1. There will be 1 winning entry and 3 consolation prizes as listed in the table below: Winner Consolation Prize x 3 Macbook Air (256 GB) and S$200 Cash S$100 Cash each 2.2. The prizes are not transferable or redeemable for other goods or services. Terms and Condition of Participation 3. Design Brief 3.1. Participants are required to conceptualise and design a common logo for TPS Corporate Services. Participants are required to include the Corporate Logo Guide with design rationale, in English. 3.2. Logo Entries a) Artwork Entries must be done with a maximum of 2 pantone colours, saved in a nonworking file such as JPEG or PDF format. Only the selected winner will be required to submit his/her working file of the winning logo design to TPS. b) Corporate Identity Guide To include different logo types and any variations (e.g. Greyscale, Black & White, Vertical, Horizontal) with rationale in English to describe your concept, theme and symbolic elements. c) Consideration The winning logo design will be used for TPS’s publicity materials, including but not limited to, TPS websites, banners, flyers, poster, collateral and be suitable for viewing, rating, reviewing, and commenting by the public. 4. Eligibility of Entries 4.1. The logo competition is open to all Singaporean, PRs and foreigners. 4.2. Multiple entries per person will be accepted. 4.3. Employees at TPS and their immediate family members will not be eligible to participate in this competition. 5. Submission Guidelines and Content Restrictions 5.1. Participants shall not submit any logo design which is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise contain confidential, illegal or offensive material or information, or anything which may constitute a civil or criminal offence. 5.2. Entry Forms are to be signed, and the scanned copy submitted along with the artwork. It is located on the last page of the Competition’s Terms and Conditions and can be downloaded from: www.tps.com.sg/logo-competition/ 5.3. Submissions are to be sent to [email protected] with the email subject clearly stated as “TPS Logo Submission” in one of the following formats: a) b) ZIP. File Dropbox Link 5.4. There will be no entry-related costs. Participants are thus solely responsible for their own expense while participating in this competition. Entries that are submitted after the closing date, illegible, incomplete or misdirected will not be entertained or accepted. 6. Judging Criteria 6.1. The submitted entries will be judged by the Board of Directors of TPS. 6.2. The entries will be assessed in the following areas: a) Storyline / Design Rationale b) Creativity c) Originality 6.3. Where a Participant is found to have breached any of these Terms and Conditions, his submission shall be disqualified and any prizes awarded to him shall be withdrawn. 6.4. The decisions of the judges are final, and they shall not be obliged at any time to enter into any discussions and correspondences on any matter relating to the competition. 7. Intellectual Property Rights 7.1. Only the winning logo design will remain the property of TPS. All other submitted entries will not be subjected for use by TPS without the permission of the respective participant. 7.2. In the event that no winning entries has been selected, all submitted entries will not be subjected for use by TPS without the permission of the respective participant. 7.3. The selected winner agrees to submit the working file in AI format and assign absolute rights to TPS without charge, such as all intellectual property rights, including the right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, licence and/or otherwise deal with (whether for commercial and non-commercial purpose) the winning logo design. 7.4. Participants represent and warrant that their entries are their own original work/creation and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. 7.5. During the prize presentation ceremony, photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By accepting the prize and attending the event, attendees waive all rights they may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose. Indemnity Clause 8.1. Participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold TPS and its affiliated organisations harmless, from and against all actions, claims, cost and expenses, damages, debts, demands, liabilities, losses, causes of action, proceedings or judgements of any kind which are made or brought against or suffered or incurred by TPS and/or its affiliated organisations and arise directly and/or indirectly out of or in connection with any infringement of any intellectual property rights by virtue of the entries submitted by the Participants for the Competition. 9. Announcement of Result 9.1. All prize winners will be notified by email and post. 9.2. All prizes must be acknowledged by the winner or his authorised representative within 14 days from the date of notification, failing which the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and TPS may in its sole discretion deal with such forfeited prizes as it deems fit. 9.3. There will be a Prize Presentation ceremony for the winner to claim his prize. 9.4. The judges’ decision pertaining to the judging, process and award of the prizes is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 10. Disclaimer 10.1. To the extent permitted by law, the Participants agree that TPS shall not be liable for any death or personal injury suffered by any Participant as a result of or in connection with the Participant’s participation in the Competition provided that the death or personal injury is not caused by the gross negligence, or wilful default of TPS, their officers or agents. 10.2. The Participants agree that TPS shall not be liable for any actions claims, cost and expenses, damages, debts, demands, liabilities, loss, suit, causes of action, proceedings or judgement of any kind which are made or brought against or suffered or incurred by the Participants and arise directly or indirectly out of the Participants’ participation in this competition. 11. Right To Cancel & Disqualify 11.1. TPS reserves the right in its sole discretion, to (1) cancel, modify or suspend the competition at any time, and (2) limit the validity of entries to those submitted prior to the action taken as mentioned in (1), or to proceed in such a manner as may be deemed fair by TPS in its sole discretion. Persons who abuse any aspect of the competition or are in violation of these rules will be disqualified and all associated entries be void. The above term and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, and the Participants shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts to determine any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the above terms of the competition.
