Be part of the first annual "Cheri Uelmen's Fantastically Fun Kid's Run" Saturday May 2nd at 6:00P.M. in Carson
Park. Kids will face obstacles along a .5 or 1 mile course through Carson Park and cross the same finish lines
our marathon runners cross on Sunday.
-We are looking for one major sponsor to be part of something new to the Eau Claire Marathon.
-You will be the one and ONLY sponsor listed on the t-shirts, bib and medals.
Your money will be used to purchase t-shirts, medals, bibs, insurance and help with the cost of the obstacles
for the kid’s race.

- Be one of ten companies that sponsor the obstacles during the
race.
Obstacles include: Tire Jumping, Spider Crawling, Balance Bridge, Wall Climb, Monkey Bars, Stepping Stones,
Dodging Panels, Up and Under, Tunnel crawling and a few others still undecided.

Join us for the first annual "Cheri Uelmen's Fantastically Fun Kid's Run" Saturday May 2nd at
6:00P.M. in Carson Park. Kids will face obstacles along a .5 or 1 mile course through Carson Park
and cross the same finish lines our marathon runners cross on Sunday.
Proceeds from this race will benefit: Life’s AMAZING! Pass it on! honoring Cheri Uelmen which
started in September 2014, after her tragic passing due to a bike accident. A 1st grade teacher,
fitness instructor, mother, grandmother, friend, and competitor! Cheri had an undying love for kids,
fitness, and competition which makes this race right up her alley. What could be more fun than
climbing over hay bales, skipping through tires, and speeding down a slide?
Our first project, in conjuction with the Eau Claire Ski Striders, is to build a kids ski skills area at
Tower Ridge in Cheri’s name. Our hope is that through this, Cheri’s love for outdoor activities will be
able to start in kids at an earlier age.
Because Cheri was an organ donor and in such amazing shape, several people have benefitted from
the gift of her organs. We plan to work closely with the UW Organ and Tissue Donation group to
educate and build awareness for this special cause.
Cheri was an inspiration to many. She will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on through this
exciting event and charitable causes that were extremely important to her.
Runners will receive race t-shirt, runners bib and a finishers medal as well as a few other goodies.
