KOD has been using one of the top ranked curriculums, the Creative Curriculum, for years. However, purchasing each component was unaffordable. Through Grow NJ Kids, we now have the entire curriculum for each age group! To ensure that centers implement the curriculum correctly, the state will provide 3 to 4 full day trainings. All staff must attend and centers will mostly like have to close. At a recent meeting, I suggested that the training be held the last Friday, Monday and Tuesday in August since our center is already closed at least two of the three days. Majority of the other directors also suggested August. Will keep you posted! Page 1 of 2 serve snack sized items such as chips, pretzels, cookies, whole fruit, and pre-made sandwiches are also allowed. All other outside food is not permitted in the park. Our day at the park will end at 3:30 p.m. and we should arrive back at the center by 5:00 p.m. T-shirts will be distributed on Wednesday, June 15th. Please see Ms. Debra if you have any questions. Getting to Know Our New Staff… Hello! My name is Imani Pressley, and I am honored to join the KOD family! I am twenty years old and I attend Rowan University as a junior, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I am also the daughter of a Pastor! I say this with great joy because I have learned so much about the word of God and I enjoy growing more and more everyday with my parents’ guidance and wisdom. I am the youngest of four siblings, whom I am very blessed to share a bond with. Some of my favorite things to do are take pictures, listen to music, dance, sing, and spend time with my family. I also enjoy teaching Sunday school every Sunday at my church in Trenton, NJ. I look forward to getting to know your children at KOD and helping in providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to grow! Summer Themes We are excited about this year’s summer themes.
