Transient Glory® Conducting Symposium
February 15–18, 2012

Symposium Details:
• Fellows, associates, and auditors attend three days of master
classes and seminars with Francisco J. Núñez, master teachers,
and visiting composers, including sessions that focus on
conducting, technique, music theory, and performance practice.
• Fellows conduct the Young People’s Chorus of New York City at
Miller Theater, (Le) Poisson Rouge, or Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall.
• Fellows and auditors attend three concerts of choral works by
living composers.
You can apply to be one of nine conducting fellows
and nine associates, or you can register to attend the
symposium as an auditor. Please indicate the nature of
your application:

Section IV: Audition Materials
Please submit a DVD of you conducting two contrasting works with a chorus. We encourage:
• one a cappella submission and one submission with chorus and instrumental ensemble
• submission of contemporary compositions
• footage from both a rehearsal and a performance
Videos should be submitted as separate chapters on a single DVD, labeled with your name. The DVD should not exceed 12 minutes.
