¯ NOTES The following Policy is recommended to cover the management of flood risk within the South Worcestershire area. Flood Zone 3 has been divided into three zones, and an appropriate policy for that zone defined. The "Blue Zone" represents functional floodplain and development would not normally be permitted here. The "Yellow Zone" represents floodplain. Redevelopment of existing sites within the floodplain in areas not subject to significant flood flows (as defined by the EA) will normally be permitted providing the conditions set out in Section 9.1 of the main SFRA update report are met. The "Red Zone" represents existing or previously existing floodplain flow (as defined by the EA). Development will not normally be permitted in these areas, or within 8 metres of the tops of both banks of other watercourses.
