The primary purpose for signing up early is to get the requested electives and to get the classes where they will fit in your preferred order according to the schedule. Students must have a teacher recommendation for any Honors or Advanced Placement courses. The grade requirements for recommendations are set up by each department. Students are encouraged to meet with their current teachers before coming in to make their schedules, so they will know what classes they have been recommended to take. In addition, all graduation requirements are listed in the Student Handbook, which can be located on the BCS website at www.bcspanthers.org on the Secondary School page. I always enjoy this time of year, because it allows me the opportunity to meet with each student individually.
