SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY SPORT CAMPS
Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL offers a variety of athletic camps.
Generally, these camps occur throughout the summer months when the facilities
are readily available. Southeastern has now partnered with Nike to help create
the most valuable experience possible for our campers.
Also, the majority of the camps have a low coach-to-camper ratio, which gives
campers the opportunity to gain valuable one-on-one instruction from SEU’s top
coaches. Southeastern offers camps for baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, and
volleyball. For more information, visit www.fire.seu.edu/information/camps

Senior High Scheduling
The time is quickly approaching for students to schedule for next year. An informational packet will go
home with students prior to their scheduling time. It will contain a copy of the master schedule along with a
course selection worksheet and an explanation of the scheduling process. Parents are required to sign the
course selection worksheet before a student can complete his/her schedule. Students must be registered for
the 2016-2017 school year and students who are currently taking a Florida Virtual School (FLVS) course
must have completed 80% of the semester in a semester long course or must complete the entire first
semester (100%) and 80% of the second semester in a year long course in order to schedule. Scheduling
appointments will be made in person on the mornings listed below. Please do not be on campus before 7:00
am. Scheduling is done on a first come, first served basis. Core classes, AP and Honor classes will not fill
up. The primary purpose for signing up early is to get the requested electives and to get the classes where
they will fit in your preferred order according to the schedule.
Students must have a teacher recommendation for any Honors or Advanced Placement courses. The grade
requirements for recommendations are set up by each department. Students are encouraged to meet with
their current teachers before coming in to make their schedules, so they will know what classes they have
been recommended to take. In addition, all graduation requirements are listed in the Student Handbook,
which can be located on the BCS website at www.bcspanthers.org on the Secondary School page.
I always enjoy this time of year, because it allows me the opportunity to meet with each student individually.
I know this can be an overwhelming process, but please know I am just a phone call or email away should
you have any questions. I would love to help and make this process go as smoothly as possible. Feel free to
contact me at 792-5454, ext. 118 or [email protected].
