Year 10 and 11 students were given a different insight into creative writing in October as Hazel
Paine, author of Soulsight, visited the school.
Hazel Paine delivered workshops to students who are currently studying for their GCSEs and are
required to write a piece of creative writing in the examination. She inspired students with her ideas
for planning and starting a story. Students will be able to use the 4P plan to prepare ideas for their
creative writing component as they progress through this year.
PASSION – What are your interests?
PERSON – Who will you write about?
PLACE – Where and when will you set your story?
PLOT – What will happen?
