Message from the Principal
Dear Parents
Mrs Murray is nearing the end of her one year
secondment here at Easton and will be returning
to Wickham Market in September. She has been a
real asset to the school and has led it over the
past two terms and will continue to do so for the
remainder of the school year. After the half term
she will be spending some time each week in
Wickham Market, Miss Rivera will continue to
teach the class.
We are advertising internally across the Academy
group for a new head of school at Easton and will
advertise more widely if needed. We will keep you
updated with developments in the coming weeks.
Miss Rivera will be staying at Easton for at least
another year.

Parent Lunches
We will no longer be offering Mother’s Day, Father’s
Day or Grandparents’ lunches. Instead, each child will
have the opportunity to “invite an adult to lunch” which
will take place on a class-by-class basis. This will give
each child the opportunity to invite a mum, dad,
grandparent or other adult to lunch on a specified date.
If this works out well, we will increase the dates to two
luncheons a class.
Here are the dates;
Pirate Class – 6th July 2017
Aztec Class – 25th May 2017
Unicorn Class – 8th June 2017
Science Week
Science week was a fantastic success. The children were wowed by a ‘mad proffessor’ in assembly experimenting
with fizzy drinks and popping candy! Each class had three investigations to carry out from magnetic slime to
Elephants toothpaste! The children were so engaged and produced some beautiful writing and accurate Maths
work.
ESA NEWS
Thank you all for returning the Easter fun packs! We'll be marking them in the next few days and will
announce the winner soon!
We're starting to organise this year's sports evening and the date will be available soon. If you're able to
help on the night we'd love to hear from you as this event takes a lot of organising before and on the
day. Please speak to your class rep if you're able to help: Sian (Pirates), Nicola (Aztecs) or Vicky (Phoenix).
In preparation for sports evening there will be a 'dress as your favorite sports star' day on Thursday 8
June. In return, we're asking for donations of prizes for the children's tombola which will take place on
sports evening.
Don’t forget – Phil The Bag – 15th May

Many Thanks
Hello everyone,
I hope you and your families have had a good Easter break.
Firstly I want to thank you for your cards, flowers, food parcels and
messages. The love and support we feel is incredible.
Simon was my soul mate and a truly wonderful Dad.
I know some of you knew Simon (Og) and I thought it would help to know he
died peacefully in my arms. He had a sudden heart attack, he felt no pain
and the paramedics came very quickly and did all they could. Simon had no
history of any heart condition.
Our sons Jed and Rudi are getting through each day. They are amazing.
They have Og's love, strength and positivity in them and with them.
We are surrounded by our loving family and friends who are helping us get
through each day.
The spring sunshine is helping too.
Life can be very fragile and our new life requires a new energy and focus. My
priorities lie with my children's wellbeing and my new role as a single parent.
Unfortunately I will not be able to go back to my busy full time schedule of
teaching Yoga. I will be teaching part time in the near future.
I will not be teaching on a Monday at Easton for the foreseeable future. I
will miss your beautiful children who I have built great relationships with over
the years. Watching as they blossom and sharing Yoga with them in school
has been a true privilege..... I thank all the children for this.
Please encourage your child/children to use their yoga tools at school and at
home.
Thank you
Peace and Love
