1 The Rivoli - Referring to the Rivolis- Make a Pavé Setting
download make a surround for the Rivoli stone. Leave the thread
ends attached.
2 Adding the Bail - The bail (top loop) is made from A beads.
Deep amethyst is
accentuated with metallic
silver seed beads and deep
lilac pearls. A pearl has
been added to the bail for
an extra accent.
Reposition the needle to emerge from the bottom A bead of a 3A
strap (adjacent to the 10C ring at the back of the setting).
Thread on 11A. Pass through the A bead of the
3A strap again to draw up the loop (fig 1). Pass
the needle through the beads of the loop two
more times to make it strong. Finish off both
ends of the thread neatly and securely.
3 Stringing the Necklace - You need to decide
on your preferred finished length.
fig 1
The central portion of the necklace design measures 19cm.
The clasp will add 1.5cm.
Subtract 20.5cm (19 + 1.5) (8”) from your preferred finished length
and divide the answer in half. This is the length of seed beads you
need to add to either side of the design.

next C bead along (to the other side of the pendant). Complete the
second row to match the other side of the necklace.
7 Pass the needle through the hole in the calotte to emerge alongside the first anchor. Tie the needle thread to the tail threads with
two or three secure overhand knots.

close the calottes to conceal the anchor beads. Add the clasp with
the jump rings.
