“OVER THE RAINBOW”
"Over The Rainbow" the last of Tom's Saturday morning programs celebrates the
music of the great Harold Arlen, who with lyricist Yip Harburg wrote the score
of "The Wizard of Oz" including the song of the century. With Johnny Mercer,
Arlen turned out one memorable song after another from "Blues in the Night" to "Accentuate the
Positive" to "That Old Black Magic" to "One for My Baby" to "Come Rain and Come Shine." So
come on down the Yellow Brick Road to hear these and many more terrific tunes sung by the great
singers of the Great American Songbook. Your mama done told you.
