1. Title
 
Tells what the map is about.
2. Scale
 
Shows distance (for instance, 1 inch = 50
miles).
3. Compass Rose
 
Shows directions
4. Legend or Key
 
Explains what the symbols on a map
represent.
5. Inset Map
 
A map within the bigger map that gives you
more information,
such as where
it is located
or an enlarged
view of the area.
