Located adjacent to Reflections Lake,
Stage 120 release required a retaining
wall of significant height and length to
provide near-flat blocks with a great view
over the lake.
The project’s developer PEET has set high
standards for the estate, and in keeping
with this philosophy it was important to
choose a retaining wall system that not
only offered a sound engineering solution,
but superior aesthetics.
Concrib offered several choices of
products, however at the end of the day
the Stone Strong System was chosen – as
you can see, it is Big, Bold and Strong.
With Stone Strong’s unique large precast
blocks, Concrib’s engineering team was
able to design a gravity structure, near
vertical, with a visually stunning
split-granite walling pattern.

Concrib Sleeper Wall Wins Coveted Earth Award!
As a designer of top quality sleeper walls,
Concrib has been a finalist in the Civil
Contractors Federation (CCF) QLD annual
Earth Awards many times before, however
this year we have gone one better.
2014 QUEENSLA
ND BRANCH
We are now the proud
Earth Awards Category 1
Winner 2014.
Concrib won this prestigious award for
a Vertical Cantilever Sleeper Wall we
designed, constructed and certified at the
Crest Estate in Mango Hill, Queensland.
The project involved 2800m2 of walling
with maximum heights up to 4.6 metres.
The concrete sleeper wall design
incorporated steel columns as the vertical
supports, many approximately 8.5m in
length and weighing up to 656kg.
It is little wonder Concrib took out
this award – as you can see from the
accompanying photographs, it is a great
looking, well-engineered retaining wall that
was installed with fastidious precision.

The Earth Awards were presented on
Friday 22 August 2014 in front of almost
400 people gathered to recognise
the industry’s achievements in respect
to quality, the environment, social
management and project management.
The fact that there were a large amount
of nominations this year made our
achievement even more memorable, but
rest assured we definitely have our feet
firmly on the ground.
