Biome Brochure

You will be doing some research and then creating a brochure on a biome of your choosing.
You will get a day to research the biome and assemble a brochure. You will have extra time outside of class to complete
this. The brochure needs to include these pieces of information:
1) The name of the biome
2) Map of where the biome is located on the Earth
3) What type of climate conditions should you expect to find there?
4) What are some special or common animals you will find there (give 5)
a. For each animal, give a short, 1 sentence description of what that animal is like or looks like.
b. Also, make sure that you include at least 1 herbivore, 1 carnivore, and 1 omnivore
5) What are some special or common plants you will find there (give 2)
a. For each plant, give a short, 1 sentence description of the general look, qualities, and characteristics
of the plant
6) If you were going to spend some time in this biome, give a list of suggested activities that people can do.
Make sure you have at least 3 different things to suggest. With each activity, give a short, 1 sentence
description of why that activity is so easily done in this biome.
7) If you were going to spend some time in this biome, give a list of 3 things or items that you might need to
stay and be comfortable here. For each item, give a short, 1-sentence description of why this item would be
needed/useful.
8) A few drawings or pictures to make brochure look nice. (at least 3!!)
Think of this as an advertisement to the biome. You will give this brochure to someone to convince them to go there.
DO NOT CUT AND COPY MATERIAL!!! Look at information on the web…then summarize down! It is really obvious when
stuff is cut and copied! You must be able to summarize ideas down into small, sentence chunks for brochures to be
readable!!!

be helpful for use in this biome, if you were going to spend time here!)
