Welcome to the 2015 Barter Fair! This is a Vehicle Free/ No Camping, Pack it in-Pack it out Event,
consider this in your booth design and number of items you will be selling.
Once you have been approved (see process on the back) to vend at the Barter Fair you must have: 1) a verifiable
OCF Camping wristband or OCF photo ID, 2) a Barter Fair wristband and 3) a Site Claim tag, to be issued at
registration. The site claim tag must be visibly posted in your designated Barter Fair space.
Applications with Fees can be hand delivered to the OCF Registration Hut from June 6th- June 27th, 2015

Mailed in, with a Money Order/Cashier’s Check Made out to OCF and an accompanied Self-addressed stamped envelope

Country Fair. Those that do not follow these guidelines could face the possibility of losing the privilege of
vending in this or any future Barter Fair. No application will be accepted without fees included.

Barter Fair PRE-Registration Process:






Complete the application on the front of this document.
Applications and payments will be accepted via drop off in person at the OCF Registration Hut on site
starting June 6th through June 27th, Wed-Sun 10:00am to 4:00pm or via mail, with a money order or
cashier’s check and a Self-addressed Stamped Envelope to: OCF Barter Fair (address on the front side)
paid for and postmarked no later than Friday June 19th. If you are submitting booth fees, a separate
Barter Fair Application and payment is preferred.
You must have an OCF Camping wristband or OCF photo ID and a verifiable OCF affiliation.
Acceptance will be decided on a first come/first serve basis, a percentage of spaces will be reserved for
crew volunteers, to ensure a greater diversity of participants.
Mail in applicants will receive a confirmation email or phone call and written receipt, it is essential that
you provide a valid email address or phone number and self-addressed stamped envelope for us to send
you a confirmation/receipt.
When arriving on site you will need your receipt to pick up your Barter Fair wrist band and Site Claim tag
at the Barter Fair window at the wrist band booth.
This is the plan for the 2015 Barter Fair, we welcome your feedback as we evolve the process for future
Barter Fairs.
Barter Fair Guidelines (excerpt from the Oregon Country Fair Guidelines booklet, 2014)
The Barter Fair is a no-camping, vehicle free, pedestrian-only event taking place on the Monday following the
OCF weekend, with same-day set up and tear-down. Reasonable alter-abled accommodations will be made.
The Barter Fair is a Pack It In, Pack it Out, Leave No Trace event. A valid OCF wristband or OCF photo ID is
required to enter the Barter Fair area on Monday. Bartering and sales will be in compliance with Oregon
Country Fair guidelines. Handcrafted items, vintage, and used treasures are encouraged. Ethically hand
gathered imported items and raw material imports are allowed. Large-scale mass produced imported items
are not permitted.
Absolutely no sales or bartering of food, beverages, alcohol, or drugs are permitted or tolerated. No
pipes, bongs, or other tools to ingest illegal drugs, or any other drug paraphernalia may be displayed or sold
on Oregon Country Fair property at any time, including during the Barter Fair. All health, safety and
environmental guidelines must be followed as well as federal, state and county laws.
Barter Fair vendors must preregister and prepay prior to the OCF event. Vending space is limited. You
must complete the application and pay fees to preregister. Verified Fair Affiliation is required. No Barter Fair
registration will be available after noon on Saturday June 27th.
Pre-assigned Barter Fair Vending Spaces will be Strolling, 5’x5” and 10’ x 10’. Each vendor is limited to
one booth space. Vendors may not expand their products and displays into other booth spaces. Each vendor
will be charged a booth fee according to booth size. Vendors may not trade spaces or change locations once
spaces have been assigned. Vendors will visibly display their booth Site Tag during Barter Fair hours.
Preregistered vending spaces will be available for set up on Monday From 8:30am-10:00am. Barter Fair
vending hours are from 10:00am-3:00pm. Tear down must be completed and vending spaces clean and clear
from debris by 5:00pm.
As with any other OCF event, all Barter Fair participants are expected to follow OCF Guidelines and
Community Agreements. Failure to comply may result in suspension of future OCF participation
