This is a compact way for students to keep their vocabulary and notes together, and works great if you don’t have textbooks for students to take home! Pg 1: I use a “Simpsons family tree” handout for vocabulary; google it to find one that might work for you if you like the idea. Pg 2: La familia de Cinicienta: Students write in English definitions for all vocab (great to use as homework). This should take students 5 minutes max. Pg 3: Dates and Birthdates: Students write in English the definitions for the vocabuarly (great to use as homework). This should take 5 min max. I always do a quick speaking activity here, where students ask 5 other people around the room (or in their group) when their bdays are. Pg 4 – 6: Guided grammar notes and understanding checks. Teacher led (or students could use the textbook and/or classzone.com videos and grammar guides to complete individually or with a partner). This guide follows “Avancemos” book 1, Unidad 3 Lección 2 and includes ALL vocabulary covered in that unit, plus a few extra family member vocabulary words. ________________________________________________________________ If you like this format, check out my other Avancemos Student Handout Packets here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Sol-Azucar-By-CatharynCrane/Category/Avancemos-Student-Packets Also, check out my Avancemos Teacher Entire Chapter Curriculum Bundles here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Sol-Azucar-By-CatharynCrane/Category/Avancemos-Curriculum-Bundles © C.
