Stage 1 Stage 2 RACING DISTANCE TOTAL CLIMBING 106 miles (46 for age 9-14)……………….16,440’ (8220') 128 miles (56 for age 9-14)……………….12,100’ (5500') Event Schedule Friday, September 25 Big Pine, CA Bristlecone Motel right on US395 CHECK-IN pick up numbers, merchandise, goodie bags 12:00 Noon – 6:00 pm Saturday, September 26 Stage 1 CA168 & Death Valley Rd (15 miles South of Bishop, 2 miles East of Big Pine) No sign in required…just line up on Death Valley Rd. with your start group and ride. Course is along Death Valley Rd. Up the front side, down the back side to the end of the pavement, then back up. That is one lap.Then back down to the Start, and ride a second lap. We will be taking warm clothes to the finish in the Race Director’s van if the weather looks chilly PLEASE read the Race Bible Updates we will send out to learn about Feed Zones, Start Waves! NO PARKING on CA168 AT ANY TIME!! NOT FOR ONE SECOND!! Your car WILL be cited, it MAY be towed, and folks will be very unhappy with your favorite race. PARK ONLY ON DEATH VALLEY RD!! Sunday, September 27 Stage 2 Lone Pine Park (43 miles South of Big Pine, north end of Lone Pine) DO NOT PARK at Lone Pine Park. Park across the street – look for the signs!! You must sign in for Stage 2! Leaders’ Jerseys presented to Stage 1 Race Leaders Start Times are the same both days. YOU MAY NOT RIDE WITH A DIFFERENT RACE. You may only ride with the race that you started with. This is like any other USAC road race. Awards ceremonies at Lone Pine Park as soon as each category results are completed Course loops around the Alabama Hills above Lone Pine. Each lap is 12 miles with 1100' of gain.
