What do my ACT COMPASS scores mean?
1. After completing the ACT COMPASS Math test, look at the score next to “Placement Domain.”
In the example below, the placement score is “Pre Algebra 33.”
2. Next, look at the table below to determine which course corresponds with this score. Consult
your degree or certificate requirements to determine which course(s) is right for you.

3. Meet your geometry prerequisite by**
a. Earning 50 or more points on ACT COMPASS Geometry Test
b. Completing MATH 095 with a C or higher
c. Submitting your high school transcripts showing you have completed two semesters of
high school geometry with a C or higher
4. An ACT math score of 23 will place a student into MATH 119, 123, 127, 128, or 131.***
5. An ACT math score of 25 will place a student into MATH 138 or 142.***
* Developmental courses (or those that begin with a “0”) are not transferrable; ** Students must meet geometry prerequisite
to register for college-level math; *** ACT scores should be submitted to the Admissions Department.
