Romeo and Juliet are saying goodbye because Romeo
has been banished and must leave Verona. They are
both very sad and hugging each other. We can see
Juliet is crying, but we can’t see Romeo’s face.
Lord Capulet is very angry with Juliet because she
says she does not want to marry Paris. He is
shouting at her and he is holding her wrist. We
can’t see Juliet’s face in the picture but we imagine
she is frightened and upset.
Juliet and Friar Lawrence are in Friar Lawrence’s
cell. She is very upset and is leaning against the wall
with her hand over her face. Friar Lawrence is
standing by the window and looking at her. He looks
worried.
