STA’s Thanksgiving Food Drive is in high gear. Please send a donation this month for the local
Food Pantry. THANK YOU!
Grade 6 families are in charge of the parking lot for PM Dismissal this month. This year, every
grade will be assigned a month to volunteer in the afternoon.
The second trimester begins TODAY.
Did you bring/ send in your Veterans’ Day photos today? (This is an optional activity.) Pictures
of honored veterans will be posted on the Gym Bulletin board.

All School Mass this morning. You are always invited and welcome.
Parent Coffee at 8:15 AM in the Parish Hall. Coordinated by Grade 7 families.
Veterans Day program at 2 PM in the gym. All are welcome to join the students in honoring
Veterans and current members of the military.
Wednesday

Grades 7-8 go to the Federal Reserve Bank for a field trip this morning (please pay the trip fee if
you have not already).

Through Big Shoulders, a group from Price Waterhouse Cooper Associates will volunteer all
morning at St. Thomas for our MATH DAY. They will engage students in math activities all
morning.
Spirit Day Today! Students may wear Spirit Wear and purchase snacks this afternoon (75¢).
Family Game Night tonight from 6-8 PM. Don’t miss the family fun in the school gym this
evening. Please bring a pot luck dish to share. We will play family games and enjoy lots of fun
and laughter together. Get to know other children and adults from the parent community
tonight. You won’t want to miss this event!

Lock-Down Drill practice (9:15-9:25) this morning. Students practice procedures.
Field Trip for grades 5-6 to Dusable Museum for a study of good nutrition. (Health Class)

Family Mass at 8:30 AM. Grade 3 students lead; Grades 2 & 8 parents serve hospitality treats
after both Masses. Our Sunday Gospel Choir performs at the 8:30 AM service. PLEASE join us.
The School Book Fair begins today right after the conclusion of the 8:30 Mass. Come for
hospitality and stay to shop at the book fair.
Reminders:
1. Sign up to help serve and sell at the Christmas Café and Bake Sale December 6-7. Sign up to
make donations for the Café and Bake Sale. Sign up online just as you have for other volunteer
events. Do you need a helping hand to learn how? Just let one of our H & S officers know. They
will help you.
2. Have you sold or bought a PIE from the Market Day Sale as yet? Please check your child’s back
pack to find the flyer and order form. Proceeds from Market Day sales benefit the school.
3. Order SPIRIT WEAR for Christmas NOW. See the order forms sent home in your child’s
backpack last week or pick one up in the school office.
4. The BOOK Fair begins NEXT week November 16--21. Your children will visit the Fair by class
groups. Sales are held after school every day next week except for Wednesday.
5. Report Cards will be distributed at the Parent Teacher Conferences on November 21st. SIGN
UP ONLINE. The teachers will send you the link on Monday, November 10. If you need help
doing this, contact your child’s teacher.
6. Volunteers are needed to make scenery and gather costumes for the annual Christmas
program. Just send in your name if you are interested in lending a hand, and the principal will
appoint a chair of the committee to organize the theater crew. The deadline for completion of
the stage and costumes is December 5th.
For those who are planning ahead, THANKSGIVING VACATION begins at 11:30 AM
on Wednesday November 26th. No lunch is served and After Care is not available.
