Before Rosa Parks made her famous stand against
discrimination, an African-American teenager named
Claudette Colvin was asked to give up her seat on a
segregated bus. She refused. But instead of becoming a
hero for fighting against racism, Claudette was shunned
by her community.
It's time her story was told.
