Dear Friends, During the year we gather funds for the winter months. This year we were unable to gather the funds we needed. It takes tremendous funds to carry the winter due to heat and other expenses such as driving our vans to and from school along with repairs and gas. Please consider helping the Children’s home with this need. The Children had a wonderful Christmas. Thanks for all of your kindness in all donations. Thank you in advance for your help. Barbara J. Through the Eyes of A Dog I remember when I came, they decided to change my name. They changed my name from Brandy to one much better called, “Candy.” I was amazed to see so many faces, children coming from all kinds of places. Into the boy’s room I would sneak, because that is where I want to sleep. Nestled next to my newest friend, and if possible, under his hand. I would run and chase them all, and together we would fall. I saw a man in a big white car; I said to myself, “I wonder who they are?” A knock at the door and he walked in, a boy with a small bag - I knew then. I see them big and small and I love them all. For a St. Bernard like me, this is my job as you can see. As I watch them laugh and cry, I often sit and wonder why. This was a gentle creature, oh so great, I guess that’s why she was called a “SAINT.” Candy was killed in the line of duty, waiting for her masters to come home. They stopped because they saw a moving car, Candy didn’t. She ran to meet the van, running in front of a car. CANDY - 8 YEARS OLD AND FULL OF LOVE. Thank you for sharing your gift with One Way Farm. He experienced the Doctor, the animal, and learned the need for care. Even if it took ten shots! MEET ANDY! Dedicated to Candy, a tan and white St. Bernard who had over hundreds of masters and friends at One Way Farm. She was here quite some time ago.
