Alicia Stoddard Alicia took her first yoga class in 2000 while attending business school in Denver. Initially she was drawn to yoga by the physically challenging nature of the classes and liked "stretching" to compliment the running she was doing. Alicia found Ashtanga Yoga in 2006 after her daughter was born and really fell in love with the practice. Looking back on her early Ashtanga practice, what kept her coming back was the meditative aspect of the practice. Alicia received her initial teacher training with David Swenson in 2010 and in 2011 completed the Anatomy of Yoga 200-hr Teacher Training with Shari Simon and Zoe Mai. She has also completed the American Sanskrit Level I and II training with Zoe Mai in 2011. Alicia is married to a wonderful husband and is the mother to two young children and feels blessed for the lessons that the practice has given her to be a better person, wife and mother. She loves helping students experience the benefits of Ashtanga Yoga regardless of their level. It is truly an honor to teach and pass this wonderful practice on to others. Alicia continues to study and deepen her knowledge about the practice of Ashtanga yoga by studying with senior Ashtanga practitioners including: Manju Jois, David Swenson, David Williams, Richard Freeman, Tim Miller, Eddie Stern, and Nancy Gilgoff. She has also studied with Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldman. Alicia maintains a daily practice and is blessed to have wonderful teachers in Shari Simon and Mary Flynn.
