Examen Oral, ESP 1, 3B: ¿Qué debo hacer para mantener la salud?
You and your friend each need to make a lifestyle change and ask each other for advice. The day of
your speaking test, you will find out which of the following people you are:
Paco/Paquita Perezoso(a)
Octavio/Olga Obeso(a)
Francisco(a) Flaco(a)
When you are asking for advice to change your lifestyle, you need to obtain the following information:
1) What should you eat/drink to maintain your health? Why?
2) What activities should you (always) do? Why?
3) What activities should you never do? Why?
Step 1: Write a draft of an introduction you would give for each character. For example, “Hola. Soy
Paco. Soy muy perezoso. Nunca hago ejercicio y me encanta ver la tele todos los días.”
Step 2: Write a draft of the 3 questions you will need to ask your friend to obtain the above
information.
Step 3: Write a draft of the advice you would give to each person (Paco/Paquita, Octavio/Olga,
Franciso(a)). Prepare three different answers to each of the questions from Step 1. Make sure to give
a specific reason for your advice. For example, you could answer the first question “Debes comer
verduras todos los días porque son buenas para la salud.”
Great things to add when giving advice:
Creo que… ¿Prefieres _____
*De hecho (In fact)
*balanceado(a)
*por ejemplo
*nutritivo (a, os as)
*dieta
Step 4: Revise/finalize the draft of your questions and advice. Check for accurate use of vocabulary
and grammar as well as the criteria on the rubric.
Step 5: Practice, practice, practice! Be ready for ask for advice as if you were any of the three
characters and be ready to give advice for any of their problems.
Great things to add when receiving advice:
Creo que sí/no
(no) estoy de acuerdo
Prefiero…
¡Qué rico/sabroso/horrible!
¡Pero es difícil!
*Gracias por tus consejos = thank you for your advice
