Omaha Rollergirls
The Omaha Rollergirls would like to invite any Omaha-area Girl Scout to participate in our game days.
The Omaha Rollergirls perform all the production, track set up, game planning and preparation, and
then we also play roller derby. The Omaha Rollergirls is a non-profit organization. Our players, coaches
and officials are not paid, so we do this all for the love of the game. We want to be able to continue
to play and provide great entertainment for our community. We would like to invite the Girl Scouts to
come help us with one part of our game day production, The Grenade Toss.
We sell squishy, foam grenades that fans can throw at the middle of the track to hit a target. If you hit
the target, you win a prize. We do this during the half time of our second game of the night. We would
like the girls to help us sell grenades during the first half of the first game and help pick the grenades
up after they have been thrown on the track during the second game. The Omaha Rollergirls will also
sell grenades alongside the Girl Scouts. We would like to get approximately 10 girls to help out at each
game. Girls Scouts assisting with the Grenade Toss will be given two free tickets, one for the Girl Scout
and one for her accompanying guardian.
If you would like to volunteer for the grenade toss, please send us an email. Our schedule for the 2017
season is listed below. If you do not want to participate in the grenade toss, but would like to attend
one of our games, we are also offering a special Girl Scouts ticket discount (see ticket information
below).
All our games are held on Saturday nights. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and games start at 6:00 p.m. We
feature a double header each night.
The Omaha Rollergirls are excited to be a Girl Scout Community Collaborator this year. We can’t wait to
see all the girls in their uniforms and look forward to working with them.
If you have any questions, please send us an email. You can also check out our website.
