Name:
A plural noun is a noun that names more than one thing.
For example wish (singular noun) wishes (plural noun)
Most nouns can be made plural by adding an ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the end of each word.
Add ‘s’ or ‘es’ to the following words to form the plural:
bake
leach
flower
cat
mix
dance
smash
zoo
avocado
hero
buffalo
potato
bus
fox
tomato
N.B If the noun ends with a consonant plus - y, make the plural by changing
-y to -ies: For example:
daisy
= daisies
berry = berries worry =
worries
If the noun ends in a consonant or a single vowel plus -f or -fe, change the
-f or -fe to -ves:
For example:
knife
=
knives
half
=
halves strife =
