Congratulations Eekhoff Family!
Thank you to
everyone who came out
and enjoyed our 2nd
annual Kelley
Insurance Car Show
and Customer
Appreciation! We
enjoyed a warm
afternoon of collector
vehicles, music, food,
and great
conversation!
Born and raised here, I’m proud to call Whatcom
County my home. I graduated from Mt. Baker High
School in 2005 and Washington State University in
2013 Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business
Administration. Giving back to this fantastic
community we live in is one of my top priorities. I’m
currently serving as the Sumas Chamber of Commerce
President and I’m also actively involved in our
community through volunteer work and partnerships
with local organizations.
Outside of the office, you can usually find me in the
barn. My greatest passion in life is horses and I spend a
great deal of my time riding and training my young
filly, Stella. I call it my therapy. I also enjoy partaking
in outdoor activities with my husband, Grant.
Our favorite hobbies are hunting, camping, and riding
our ATVs.
I came to work in the insurance world in 2009 without
any idea that I would grow to love it as much as I do.
Protecting the assets that my clients have worked so hard to acquire is both rewarding and
challenging. I’m currently licensed in property, casualty, life, and health insurance and
hope to become a Certified Insurance Counselor (basically the PhD of insurance) in the
near future. I’m also a Notary Public for the State of Washington.
We would like to introduce you to Nolan John
Eekhoff, born at 5:06PM on September 17th
weighing 7lbs 2oz and 20inches long.
Congratulations to Mike, his wife Erin, and big
sister Braelyn on the arrival of Nolan!

KELLEY IN THE COMMUNITY
Kelley Insurance Agency in partnership with the
American Red Cross and Whatcom Fire District 14 is
participating in the Home Fire Preparedness
Campaign. The goal of this program is to reduce the
number of deaths and injuries from home fires by
installing some alarms in homes. Along with installing
some alarms, the program promotes fire safety
education. Across the country in the first 10 months
of this program, the American Red Cross and its
partners have saved 15 lives and have installed over
100,000 smoke alarms.
A proper emergency kit should have enough supplied to carry your family through the initial aftermath of a
disaster, up to two weeks. Be sure to include:
o
Clean drinking water – a gallon per family member, per day
o
Daily prescriptions and routine medical supplies – especially if someone in your household is treated
for diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, or seizures
o Food – energy bars, canned fruits, canned meats, or military-style ration packs
o Flashlight or lamp – with extra working batteries
o Cell phone – with extra charged batteries
o Battery chargers – hand-cranked or solar powered for all your battery types
o Emergency blankets
o First aid supplies – clean bandages, sterile gauze, iodine, antibiotic ointment, etc.
o Radio – solar-powered or hand-cranked, preferably a NOAA weather radio
o Manual can opener
o Multi-purpose tool
o Signal, mirror, whistle or air horn – to alert others if you become entrapped
o Bicycle helmets – especially for the kids
o Baby needs – diapers, formula, etc.
o Pet food – and any pet medications
o Copies of important documents – birth certificates, Social Security cards, insurance policies,
immunization records and medication lists
Over the last 3 months we have installed
114 smoke alarms around Whatcom County.
If you, or someone that you know is in need
of a smoke alarm, please give us a call at
360-966-3732 or email
[email protected].
