The customs of foot binding which violate the spirit of TCM

Abstract
The “foot binding” is a Chinese customs for a long history. The purpose of
woman’s foot binding is to show the pretty body of girl, the effect just like ballet, but
the destruction greater then ballet. Foot binding result in fracture of bone, panic,
melancholy, hysteria, abortion. Foot binding also violate the principle of TCM, which
are whole conception, the theory of man is an integral part of nature, moderate. But
we hard to see the theory of cut off foot binding in the medicine book. This
phenomenon reflect the attribute of social in TCM is very strong. The TCM reflect the
social phenomenon of male is strong and female is weak. 【Published on Science
