The Racehorse Sale
The ready to run concept has been popular in New Zealand for a number of years. It has
also gained popularity in Australia over recent years with both Magic Millions and Inglis
hosting their own respective sales for 2yo’s. This sale is brilliant as it allows the buyer to
watch a clip of each 2yo breezing up over a furlong (200m) and timed. This allows us to
assess each individuals action, stride length and time they have galloped in. We can then
get to the sale and inspect the individual to ensure we like the horse on conformation.
“I purchased numerous horses at the recent Ready to Run Sales and plan to be active at the
NZB Ready To Run Sales in mid-November. I have had good success purchasing from the
RTR sales in the past and I think it is a cost effective way to buy horses that I know can move
well and have already had plenty of investment go into them. The horses have already been
broken in and are six months further along in their training, therefore saving owners money.”

Symbol for Success!
A mare who has always shown exceptional
promise is Egyptian Symbol.
An impeccably bred mare who is a daughter of
Group 1 winner Our Egyptian Raine, Egyptian
Symbol was placed in the Group 3 Vo Rogue
Plate and the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas before
going on to place in the Listed Fireball Stakes,
Listed Darby Munro Stakes and the Group 3 PJ
Bell Stakes.
Egyptian Symbol has always shown an enormous
amount of talent and that was franked first-up
at Randwick when she was dominant in winning
the Group 3 Nivison Stakes.
Egyptian Symbol will now head to the 1400m
Group 3 Hong Kong jockey Club Stakes at
Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day with Blake
Shinn in the saddle.
