According to the article “Is The Tiny House
Market Worth Investing In?,” now is the
time to invest in the Tiny House Movement.
Research investing opportunities in your
area such as land, building sites, or tiny
house communities. Then, write an
investing proposal to present to banks and
residential boards. Not only will you need
to show profit predictions in your proposal,
but you will also need to market tiny
houses in such a way that it convinces
residential boards to allow tiny house
developments. Be sure to
use transcendentalist
philosophies as a way of
marketing your investment
ideas.
In the article, “Tiny Houses Big With U.S.
Owners Seeking Economic Freedom,”
Bloomberg Business author Nina Glinski
describes the type of people who are drawn
to tiny house living. Thoreau was also
drawn to tiny homes for like reasons. Using
Floorplanner.com, graph paper, or a
physical scale model , design a custom tiny
house to fit the needs of either Thoreau or
Emerson. Cite specific evidence to support
your design choices in a paragraph that will
accompany your design while on display.

Tiny House
Needs Inventor
As Heather Levin in “Living in a Tiny Home:
Benefits & Drawbacks” points out, it is
essential to maximize the space in a tiny
home. Invent and design a multipurpose
item or concept for either Thoreau, or
Emerson that would make their tiny home
more personalized to fit their needs,
enhance their quality of life, or solve a tiny
house issue. Make sure to use specific
evidence to support your invention and
use that
evidence as
support in the
“pitch” you write
for your product.
