Welcome to the Second HoneyRun Winery newsletter.
Many exciting things are happening, and we want to let you know.
Cranberry Honeywine this Fall! Did we get your attention?
We found an amazing price on some very high quality cranberries and just couldn‟t
pass up the chance to make so many people happy. The fermentation is going, and
the four month countdown has begun!
We would like to return to the shelves in Virginia.
We have researched some distributors, and think that Roanoke Valley Wine Distributing
sounds wonderful. They are reluctant to pick us up. If you live in Virginia, and would like
HoneyRun Wine back, please ask your store‟s wine buyer/steward to request it.
Wine is on its way, Georgia.
Tree of Life / KeHe Distributing will be placing
HoneyRun berry honeywine in stores, hopefully within a month.
North Carolina customers: If you live in NC, you should start asking your stores to look
for it soon.
Fun lore. This comes from Miko, who met us at the San Francisco Green Festival.
“I mentioned that the introduction to Beowulf contains a reference to mead: here it is in
modern translation—
„LO, praise of the prowess of people-kings of spear-armed Danes, in days long sped, we have
heard, and what honor the athelings won! Oft Scyld the Scefing from squadroned foes, from
many a tribe, the mead-bench tore, awing the earls. So Scyld Scefing is proclaimed a great
king because he is able to steal the mead-hall benches from his neighbors.‟
May your mead-hall benches NEVER be stolen!” We thank you Miko.
Follow and comment on Facebook. Here Search “Honeyrun” if needed.
Cheers! And may YOUR mead hall bench never be stolen!
