Uniform letter - Riverside Campus

Dear Family,
RE: School Uniform
At Riverside Primary School we place emphasis on pride in our community. Our young people represent the
community and are ambassadors of our School. We are firm believers that school uniform encourages ethos and
enhances equality. It is our hope and expectation that all pupils at Riverside Primary School will wear school
uniform as follows:
Girls Winter
Navy blue cardigan with school logo
Grey polo with school logo
Black/Grey skirts
White socks
Black/Grey tights
Black shoes (No boots or trainers)
Girls Summer
Navy blue cardigan with school logo
Blue checked dresses
White socks
Black shoes (no sandals)
Boys Winter
Navy blue Jumper with school logo
Grey polo with school logo
Black/Grey trousers
Black/Grey socks
Black shoes (No boots or trainers)
Boys Summer
Navy blue Jumper with school logo
Grey polo with school logo
Black/Grey shorts
Black/Grey socks
Black shoes (No boots or trainers)
We know that most of our pupils follow our school dress code and we would like to thank all of the families that
work with us to ensure that school uniform is worn on a daily basis. Unfortunately there are a small minority of
pupils who do not attend school dressed as outlined in our school uniform policy. There may be extenuating
circumstances which explain why this happens with an individual pupil on an occasional basis and we are
sympathetic to this. However, where there is evidence of regular ignoring of the uniform policy we would aim to
take the following action and we hope that families will support us in this. Teachers will inform Senior
Management of instances where uniform is incorrect. Contact will be made with home to ensure that this is
resolved.
We are sure that you agree that it is in everyone’s interest to have clear, fair and consistent approach to our
school uniform. I therefore ask for your continued support in our drive for consistency.
Yours Sincerely,
Head of School
