Technical Data: GROWSTONE GS-1 Hydro Stones
GS-1 are multipurpose stones with a unique 50-30% air-to-water ratio
allowing for extreme frequent feedings with no risk of overwatering or
root rot. A great fit for automated hydroponic irrigation systems. GS-1
Hydro Stones open and interconnected pores guarantees fast drainage and
high capillary action which are key for top drip and DWC systems,
respectively. Irregular shaped stones encourages root branching and hairy
roots to develop. Stones are considerably cleaner and lighter weight than
other growing media. GS-1 can be used alone or blended into any soil to
increase aeration & drainage and eliminate compaction as Growstones
are rigid and do not break down over time.
Growstone manufactures products for the horticultural industries like
hydroponics, aquaponics, green roofs, vertical walls, water filtration and
other markets making use of recycled glass that would otherwise be
buried in landfills.
